New Gadget

After scrambling to save photos on random jump drives and borrowing space on my folks' laptop, I've finally got a bigger external hard drive! I got a Western Digital My Book - 1 TB!!! Got a damn good deal too! $30 off the price you find online.

Now my challenge is reorganizing my scattered photo and audio files so they are all in one place and easy to find. Here's to hours in front of the computer organizing and messing around. lol

Stuck at home....

Timber has been sick with an upper resperatory virus for the past 2 and a half weeks. He got a bloody nose at one point and I got worried after too many suggestions from friends with good intentions about what could be wrong. Sadly, this means no dog parks, doggy play dates or walks anywhere until the vet gives us the all clear.

I suppose it's only fitting that I too am now sick! Somehow I managed to catch me some strep throat! Blah! Started out with a tight throat, then slight fever and major body aches for days! Now the lovely pain with swallowing and swollen glands. I can't wait til it's over. For now, Timber and I have both taking our antibiotics. Timber has proven to be an even more awsome dog, he takes his medicine with no tricks, cover-ups or protests! I just stick in the back of his mouth and he swallows it! I sure got one hell of a dog!

I feel so bad for the little guy, all cooped up. He's got cabin fever, no doubt!! I'm headed that way too!

Can I be diligent with this Blog?

I haven't made much headway on keeping up this blog, have I? Many things have been going on with me in the past 4 months. I no longer live in Chico. I have since been separated and my wonderful dog, Jade is living with her dad, much to my despair.

I have been without work since the first week of June and recently acquired a new job, however it isn't the optimal choice. I have contimplated selling my car to fund a three to six month adventure to Italy where I could work and gain experiences and knowledge of who I am and what I want for my life.

I have applied to work on a Cruise ship in hopes that it would be enough of an adventure for me along with a great opportunity to save money as I would live rent free, have free food and health insurance, virtually no cost of living what so ever! Crossing my fingers that I get a bite and have the opportunity to explore that avenue.

I plan on getting my Passport, since that process will take some time, I will have that time to work at my current job and save some money as well as figure out what the plan is for the next 6 months.

I have some beautiful photographs of recent adventures, including an 11 day RV/road trip with the family to the majestic, Yellowstone! The vacation was as lovely as it was tiresome. Seven people, two of which are boys the ages of 5 and 7 years, in a small 21 foot RV is a recipe for chaos! However, it was well worth it... There are many things to see, that being said, I walked away with well over 1,500 photographs of the 11-day adventure! Had I been there on my own and able to explore as I saw fit, there would have been at much more photographs! I'm am ever so thankful for digital photography! 1,500 photos in 35 mm format would result in major debt with photo processing!

Photos to come! It's well past bedtime for a gal that is in desperate need of regulating a sleep schedule for my new job!

So what am I supposed to do here?

I'm bored and in between that stage of being tired, but not tired enough to fall asleep because my mind is still in overdrive. I was just playing around to see how this stuff works, don't really think I have anything interesting to talk about. Maybe I'll have something interesting to say after gettting the heck out of here for the weekend, uh...well for four days actually. Going to hang out with my sister-in-law and her two sons and my mom in the Bay area. Dad's going down south to see his ailing mother...
I think I have what I need packed. Knowing me, I won't get out of here when I want to...especially considering Jamie wants me to help him with his paperwork on the computer since he's anti-computer and somewhat computer illiterate...(someone was supposed to have me help him tonight, but didn't get his butt in gear before he crashed on the couch....so guess who has to stay later to help him in the morning?) :p
Yeah...better attempt some sleep so I don't do it while I'm driving on the 99! One of the most boring drives ever!!!

P.S. They really need some more interesting fonts here!!! I like Comic Sans!
